Razer Cash Lets You Pay For Apps On Google Play Store Offline At 7-Eleven
Kuala Lumpur – Razer Fintech has announced that Google Play Store consumers can make offline-to-online (O2O) payments through its Razer Cash solution.
Malaysian Android smartphone users can now pay for their Google Play Store in-app transactions offline at 7-Eleven outlets nationwide, thanks to a new online-to-offline (O2O) payment partnership between Razer Fintech’s Razer Cash solution and Google.
Razer Cash allows Google Play Store users to purchase Google Play in-app items or top up Google Play credits and pay for them with cash offline at 7-Eleven. According to Razer, this O2O solution addresses the needs of users who wish to purchase digital goods but are unable to do so due to lack of a credit card, debit card, or an internet-ready bank account.
“With Razer Cash, we can now open up a new channel for users to gain access to Google’s in-app products,” said Razer Fintech CEO Limeng Lee. “This partnership underlines Razer Fintech’s commitment to work with a best-in class industry leader such as Google to create and deliver practical financial solutions for the general public especially in the emerging markets.”
To use Razer Cash for your Google Play Store transaction, just make your purchase as usual and select Razer Cash/7-Eleven as your payment method. Take a screenshot of the transaction details, head to your nearest 7-Eleven, and tell the cashier you want to pay for Razer Cash and give them the details. Razer Cash is currently available at the 2,761 7-Eleven stores across Malaysia. This same method of payment is also utilised by Razer Fintech’s other partners such as Lazada, Shopee, and Agoda.
According to Eng Sheng Guan, Head of Razer Merchant Services, the acceptance of Razer Cash represents the deepening partnership between Razer Fintech and Google; in Thailand and Malaysia, Razer Fintech has already offered Google Play Store gift cards at physical stores. You can buy the Google Play gift cards at 7-Eleven in denominations of RM50, RM100, and RM200 and use them to top up your Google Play balance – another way to pay for your online purchases in cash.
