Gift Cards

Point-of-sale-activated (POSA) Gift Card technology allows retailers to create prepaid cards to offer various products and services in PIN format to their consumers. It eliminates the risk and cumbersome control procedures required for maintaining an inventory of value-bearing cards.

The technology also allows prepaid cards to be displayed for sale with a reduced risk of theft and shrinkage, empowering retailers with a greater visibility for gift cards. Using the POSA technology, retailers are able to create bespoke card designs to better market the Gift Cards.

In February 2014, Razer partnered with InComm, the US- based prepaid product provider to launch POSA gift card mall solutions in Southeast Asia. POSA solutions are available now in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

*To activate a gift card, cashiers are required to scan the unique 32-digit barcode with the merchant’s Offline Payment Services’ POS system and terminal. The buyer can then instantly use the gift card to purchase digital content.
